Patinter has been recognised by Eurowag as a Market Leader in the international Transforming Transportation 2024 report, which analyses the current state and future outlook of the commercial road transport (CRT) sector across nine European markets.
The "Market Leader" distinction recognises companies that stand out for their scale, stability, and relevance within the sector. In Portugal, it highlights Patinter’s role as a benchmark in European road freight transport — the result of a consistent track record, a comprehensive range of services, strong operational responsiveness, and a customer-focused strategic vision.
"This international recognition reflects Patinter’s commitment to operational excellence, technological innovation, and sustainability. It is also a clear sign of the trust our clients and partners place in us every day,” states Filomena Marques, Head of the Consumer Sector at Patinter.
Commitment to people and innovation
The report highlights the role of the Patinter Training Academy, a structured programme designed to welcome, integrate and develop drivers and other professionals. This initiative ensures effective preparation, even for those entering the sector without prior experience, while promoting safety, talent development, and retention.
The company’s certifications in areas such as road safety, occupational health and safety, and work–life balance are also noted — tangible indicators of Patinter’s strong social responsibility ethos.
Energy, technology and sustainability
The report also underlines Patinter’s long-standing energy partnership with Eurowag. The company uses fuels supplied by its partner — diesel, AdBlue, and more recently, HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) — and is progressively integrating cleaner, infrastructure-compatible energy alternatives.
In alignment with European decarbonisation targets, Patinter continues to invest in fleet renewal, driver training in economic and defensive driving, and the deployment of monitoring and driving behaviour analysis systems. These measures are aimed at achieving measurable reductions in energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions linked to its operations.
"Our priority is to keep pace with the evolution of the sector and meet the growing demand for more sustainable transport solutions. We are committed to doing so with responsibility, reliability, and long-term vision,” concludes Filomena Marques.
